Here's how it works.

The Period Pain Project is an open research community exploring how people experience, manage, and think about period pain. We believe period pain has been overlooked and underserved for way too long.

  1. You answer questions about your period pain, beliefs, and treatment values. This takes about 10 minutes.
  2. We match you with safe and effective relief solutions, based on your unique answers.
  3. We give you insights on how you deal with pain and your specific "Period Pain Personality Type"!

YOU'RE UNIQUE. SO IS YOUR PERIOD PAIN.

"I get really bad cramps every month, but I always assumed that was normal so I just powered through it. The Period Pain Project helped me realize I don't have to, and gave me lots of tips that I hadn't heard of before."

-Zara, 21

"My doctor told me to just take painkillers or birth control, but I wanted something drug-free. This quiz helped me understand which natural relief options might actually work for me. My pain personality type was scary accurate too."

-Asana, 28
Type: "The Grin-And-Bear-It"

"I've been paying closer attention to my menstrual symptoms since going off birth control, and this tool gave me validation and helpful next steps. I also loved that I'm contributing to menstrual health research."

WHY TRUST US WITH YOUR UTERUS?

Because we've obsessed over the science of period pain for the past 7+ years.

In 2015, we met at Cornell University and started to research the most evidence-based menstrual relief options. Mimi was struggling with severe period pain interfering with her life. Courtney was studying Dietetics and learning about the power of nutritional medicine.

In 2017, we launched De Lune supplements for menstrual relief. Thousands of 5-star reviews later, we wanted to take our mission to the next level by creating a community of shared knowledge - bigger than any one product.

In 2022, we partnered with Dr. Laura Payne at Harvard Medical to launch the Period Pain Project. Together, we're collecting data for a groundbreaking research study on period pain perceptions, stigmas, and endurance behaviors. All while helping you better understand your period pain and your best relief options. Win-win-win!

Here's to giving period pain the care it deserves.
